Hey everyone, for those who had a long weekend, i hope it was well. No work today but I got my Caruso suit back from the tailors. She made the sleeves too long but I was wondering if the suit in general is just a bust? Feels too big in the shoulders/chest. Maybe I am just not used to this cut. I got feedback from you guys in the past that some of my jackets were too tight, so I decided to size up to a 40 in most of my items as the measurements worked for me. Also, the pants look baggy due to the wind, sorry. I included crappy indoor shots to give an idea of shape without the wind. Thanks for any feedback.

Citan, only you can speak to how it feels, but the jacket looks pretty good to me. Were the fronts that open originally, or did the tailor do some shaping?

There's some, er, stuff going on in the crotch area of the trousers, though. 'Sup wit dat?

^Probably a combination of the way and I am standing and my thunder thighs scrunching up the fabric...
Jacket was only altered in the sleeves...which I need to take back because they are still too long (was running late and couldn't check them there).
I guess I felt I had a bit of the "80s" drape going but in a bad way (like that funny article vox posted a few times)

I agree! It was in response to my not smiling for photos, so a few of my girl friends thought it would be funny to jump in with a hand to make me laugh during photos. I can't entirely complain ;)

As much as I love my fellow Russians, anyone with Berluti bags, multiple bespoke suits and shirts, a new briefcase for each day of the week, etc etc is most definitely not middle class, by any standard in any country.

Yup. Especially, not in Russia.

Why not? A middle class can afford all that. He is saying he is not mega rich but is doing ok. If you have a strong interest for clothes and wanna spend all your extra cash on that rather then watches, cars, trips or whatever. You can go bespoke as well :)

Middle class in Russia is not what middle class is in Europe or America. It's a different country with a different culture. You can't dress like Victor does and claim to be lower middle class. It's clear to anyone who lived there for at least a few years.

This isn't a jab at Victor, he's probably just being modest. I do envy and adore his ensembles.

For me that lives in Europe and have been in Russia couple of times middle class there is the same as here. He maybe get's his local bespoke cheaper then we do? So in that way it will be the same.

As I said earlier it's up to you how money is spent. It's not really about class its all about what you enjoy putting your savings on.

Tread lightly, Ace. The last dude who questioned Victor's claims met a most unpleasant end...

But that's another story, isn't? We were talking about lower middle class in Russia. Which is really not the same as in North America.
