interesting. either way, the shoes i got are from leatherfoot and they have them on their site as vegano calf for anyone looking for them.

the shoe as listed on the carmina site is the "model 80250 last inca vegano chestnut".

I have two pairs in vegano brown and I love them. The leather looks and feels so buttery soft and creases beautifully.

$9 a box? Damn, those days are long gone.

Vegano is indeed chestnut tan, though I won't deny it has a slightly reddish hue. This pic is quite accurate IMO:

Does it really specify a type of leather rather than a color? The box doesn't say "tan" or "chestnut" or anything. Maybe the color is "cuero"?

i thought cuero just meant leather. maybe i am just teh suchy with colors, but mine seems to be a light chestnutty brown. not very much reddish at all.

here is a pic that i think is pretty much how they look irl

Where did you get them from? I got mine from Epaulet. And did you size down?

Cuero does mean leather, but they might be using that word to define the color too, who knows...

jester - got em from leatherfoot.com. they are size 11.5UK. same as my simpson last carminas from the armoury, and all my GGs. .5 size down from my US size 12.

diaz - thanks. i got that it means leather from here:

http://www.spanishdict.com/translate/cuero

from their site, it seems to me carmina is using chestnut for the color, so it would seem vegano does refer to the type of leather.

diaz - thanks for clarifying that.

Wow... I wear a US11-11.5 and my UK10.5 Carmina Inca Double Monks, exact same as yours, are a half size too big for my taste. Either way, congrats on finding them in your size.

thanks, man. nailing down my size in different makers was such a chore. its a big factor in why i stick with the 2 or 3 makers that i know what size and what last feels right for me. i think id need to do in person try ons with other makers before i would consider branching out. the need is no longer as pressing as it once felt.

I know how you feel. And it's not just the sizing, it's the leathers. I have 10UK Uetams in Suede that fit semi-snug and 10.5 Uetams in Suede that fit semi-loose. I ordered some Uetams in shell, 10UK and am scared shitless they won't fit due to the stiffness of shell vs the forgiving Suede. I've been extremely lucky so far. The only shoes that don't fit the way I'd really like are the 10.5UK Inca lasts. But I'll deal.

I'm extremely lucky my EG's fit like a glove, and so do my Simpsons. Winning on the first try (or only try depending on the situation) is always fantastic.
