No need to apologize - it IS dated, but it is whimsical, and I was in the mood for a whimsical tie. The tie also has some sentimental value (as to where it was bought, and with whom) - something only I would appreciate.

I remember the first time I heard "whimsical" used in a way that raised my brow was when my friend used the phrase, "Whimsical sweater girls". So many images come to mind.
