I was wondering that myself. In Latin (with which I have a great degree of difficulty) I thought "veniebamus" forms an imperfect, in which case they may not have come? Again, I'm really better with Germanic languages, but I suspect you are correct.My Latin is very rusty, but is imperfect tense really appropriate? I'm thinking Venimus, Videmus, Vincemus instead. Or, if you're an optimist like me, end it with Vincimus instead.
(here's hoping I've remembered my conjugations correctly, or that won't work at all!)
