Royal Oud is kind of an effeminate scent to me. I think Creed is too generous with some of their "unisex" scents, which tend to err towards the feminine side. They claim Silver Mountain Water is unisex but I would wholeheartedly disagree. Not trying to insult anyone in case anyone takes offense.

I wear Silver Mountain Water. I don't think its feminine at all.

i thought the exact opposite actually. I thought me and my wife would be able to share...way too strong for her.

However, when i wanted to buy a bottle at the nordstrom here in nashville, i missed out because nicole kidman had just bought 7 bottles for herself. greedy twat. ;)

Anything with sandalwood tends to smell feminine to me. It's definitely more delicate, if you will, than a GIT or Vetiver. This could also be heavily influenced by the fact that my mother has worn SMW as long as I can remember

is this serious?

To be fair, in most parts of the country, Creed is only really sold at Neiman Marcus. Case in point, here in MI, we can only try Creeds out at the Neimans, it isn't sold anywhere else. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and suggest he meant "exclusive" to Neimans, not "house brand."

FIH is where it's at. Take a look back through the WAYWRN archives and find some really good tie knots. They will, inevitably, be FIH.

You seem to like spoo, so look at his shots. Always FIH (actually double FIH if I recall correctly). I used to think the half windsor was clutch, but I've abandoned it completely. The slightly asymmetric nature of the FIH is what makes it great.

I know Spoo seems to exclusively use the dbl FIH (I don't think I see the regular FIH much outside of MC) but I genuinely prefer the symmetry of a Windsor for the same size tie knot most of the time. Most of what I like about his fits is color, proportion, and attention to detail. Tie knots weren't really what I was most interested by.

Maybe its just a product of having conservative family that is more UK than US, but I've always felt the FW were the most attractive knots with a spread collar. I know that's sacrilege on this forum, but it looks better to me.
