Any plans to do a service boot on the 2045 last, or something else a bit chunkier than the 2030...?

The Derby Nut Service Boot coming later this week is on the 2040 and the new Boondocker will be on the 2045. In a month or so we'll have 3 roughout boots on the 2040: cinnamon, mocha, and white.

It's just too close to the Natural. The colours always vary a shade or two across batches and occasionally we'd end up with Natural CXL that was almost indistinguishable from Icy Mocha. Stocking Natural, Brown, Colour 8 and Black just gives us a better, more defined, range of colours.
Will there be a Service Boot on the 2030 in Natural along anytime soon then? Have not seen any Natural offerings in a while...

How far down in size do the 2040 and 2045 go? My girlfriend wears a 3.5 on the 9220 last, and would love another pair of boots.

Can someone explain the 2040/2045 lasts versus the 2030?

Sign me up! The icing on the cake would be if it came on a Christy sole

Haha I guess this is where you and I disagree. I'm not much of a fan of vibram soles. I'd prefer dainite soles but I guess we'll see if a natty cxl service boot comes out in the first place! 10 eyelet, natty cxl, dainite soles?

We most likely won't be doing a black service boot next round, but we will do have a single pair of black oil tan service boots on the 2030 last in the store right now. Size 9.5. If anyone buys them tonight, I'll refund 10% and give you a refund on shipping as well. If not, I'll probably just take them myself.

Stay tuned for the Derby and probably a Cxl service boot, next.
Cheers, Fok.

great deal!!

One more plea for Smoke grey Kudu service boot...

I'd be all for a smoke grey Kudu boot.

But going back to my earlier suggestion --- Fok, what are the chances we could do a service/boondocker boot in black Guidi or if not that, then black/smoke grey nubuck? Heck, even ryden's kudu. I have a feeling there'd be decent interest in this.

Last: 2030 (or maybe an unstructured 2045, depending on how the wax flesh MTO on the 2045 comes out)
Style: Service Boot or Boondocker
Leather: black Guidi or black/smoke grey nubuck or something similar (matte like)
Sole: Dainite (or I could go with double leather with dark/black edge trim, just not lugs)
Probably lean toward plain toe but open to cap toe (unstructured)

Seemed like we all ready had 5 interests for

Boondocker on 2030
Smoke grey Kudu
All gunmetal eyelets
Natural midsole
Double leather sole

Maybe even black midsole with tonal black stitching

^ Yes, forgot that --- black midsole and tonal stitching to keep the boot looking dark and menacing...

Danite soles are great but I'm on the hunt for a tried and true "Redwing-esque" work boot... Hence, the Christy. A few years ago when the service boot began to grab some serious traction out in the blogosphere, Vibram soles were the ubiquitous choice.

After every bootmaker under the sun caught on, the look got worn out. It makes sense people are now straying away from that style. The idea of craftmanship that boasts another level of construction is what has turned me on to Viberg. A few pages back I posted a pic of some clean lookin' natural CXLs that hit the nail on the head..
