That's cool.
My experience with ordering and customer service was a f***ing NIGHTMARE.
I'm the unlucky one, cost me time and money. Glad you had a good experience.

Brett and Jason Viberg have always been very responsive to my inquiries. I haven't ordered yet. I'm waiting for a trip to the factory for sizing. But I haven't seen anything that would make me hesistate to order. But then again, I've had problems with other vendors that were atypical from the rest. Anyone can have a bad experience, and I think it's reasonable to move on to other brands,

Wish I didn't have to travel a few thousand miles to get to the factory! Just got sizing info from Viberg regarding the trace I sent in--still not quite sure which size to order, though.

You and me both. I've learned by experience that there is no substitute for trying them on. My feet are tough to fit! Could be worse, I may have to go to Europe to get fitted for Carmina. That's a pricey trip.

Could just go to Epaulet, should be closer at least.

Bummer too that Barneys doesn't seem to carry half-sizes, so even a trip to NYC could be fruitless for sizing.

Epaulet has limited stock and sizing in medium widths. I usually take a narrow. You may think you have a good fit, but if there was just a slightly different size . . . besides I always wanted to go to Mallorca. It could be worse.

Yeah, I'm the other direction--wide. Luckily I can usually just go up half a size and get a similar fit. Some folks are telling me 2030 is much narrower than Barrie, Trubalance and Modified (and C&J's 325), so that's what troubles me.

I should be out there in Feb. I will take some notes on the lasts, as best as I can.

Does anyone else with the Hiker 66 find the sole to feel slick on concrete surfaces?

It looks like the link that used to be on the Viberg site for the custom boot maker is gone... Have they discontinued that, does anyone know?

^^ yeah, they're on record for saying they're revamping the whole site with a better custom boot builder. Not sure when it's expected to go live. You can still find the old one if you google, but it's not hooked up to an ordering system. P sure you can still call in a custom order tho.

Can anyone give some direct testimony as to sizing for Viberg 310 Last Service Boots? I am a 10D in Alden Tru-balance, and probably the same in White's. I am getting different feedback on UK vs US sizing, and just wonder if anyone can speak from experience on the Service Boots.

Thanks.
