Thanks so much for the clarification here. I was wondering how narrow the toe-box could be given the E width. I actually vary between E and EE, so I'm very happy to hear these might still be an option for me.

Off-topic, it seems like last comparisons are always made to Alden boots, which, frustratingly for me, is one of the only major boot brands that I've never tried on : )

I'm an 11 in Wolverine, Redwing (multiple types of boot), and White's, and an 11.5 in OSB. I assume I'd take an 11 in Viberg as well, in reading through the rest of the thread, but I'm also wondering if the relative narrowness of the 2030 last might mean I need an 11.5...anybody have any thoughts on this (other than the impulse to slam your head into your desk after yet another sizing question)?
I take the same size (10) in all of the following lasts: viberg 2030, osb elston, alden barrie, alden trubalance (I own indy's in 10.5, and they fit, but super roomy and I think I should have sized down).

Thanks so much, man...I'm thinking I'll go with an 11.5 (size I wear in OSB Elston)....

Ha! I was just about to send an email to Kate. They were supposed to be finished within a week of the other makeups, which were in and out, so, I expect them soon. I ordered a pair of the natural CXL derbies for myself, and it's dippping into fall here in Idaho, so I am just as stoked about these as you guys.

Cheers,

Fok.

Any word on the natty derbies :) ?

Perhaps this is news to only me, but just wanted to pass along that I confirmed with Viberg that the Natty CXL boots posted to Instagram a week ago will be releasing in "mid to late October," via Mr. Porter, as others said...

Thanks for sharing this with us. Been wondering how you guys find out all these release dates when Viberg doesn't outright announce them.

Marking my calendar!

Ha...marking mine too, and doing some finger exercises to fine-tune my click and refresh skills. I actually e-mailed Viberg this afternoon (for the first time) and heard back from Guy in about an hour. He was very nice, and even helped me with sizing. I was pleasantly surprised, as I assumed they'd be perpetually swamped, considering half the free world seems to be clamoring for every boot they release (for good reason)...

Coming. We had a slight snafu with the customs last shipment, so just making sure that is sorted. But both those and the Kudu are ready to ship. There was a snafu with a single pair of the kudzu; so Viberg is remaking them and dropshipping them (that's integrity).

Excellent. So hopefully to us within the next week or two?

Hey guys, I just found out about these boots!

I am waiting for the service boot in Tan horsehide, however they are a 1035 last. I was unable to find much information about that, can someone explain what 1035 last is?

I measure an 8 on a brannock scale, I fit in an 8 in the 1000s miles, should I be ordering an 8 when these get restocked? For other measurements, I normally wear a 8.5 in sneakers and Sperry boat shoes but I am a 7.5 in Clarks Desert Boots.

thanks!

I wear 8.5 in barrie with dress socks and I wear the 2030 quite comfortable with medium weight wool socks.

Is it 8.5 D (normal width)?

Yep, same here. I'm an 8d in Barrie with regular athletic socks, an 8.5c in dress socks (LWB), and an 8 on the 2030 with thick shocks. I already tried a 7.5 in a 2030 and while roomy in places it was just too short. My foot measures an 8.5b on a brannock.

Since you both take the same size in the Barrie and the 2030 can you compare the width? It seems that in the same size for the Barrie and the 2030 the latter is a touch wider? Enough to be a width wider?

I just went through finding the right size in service boots. I'm a 7E in Barrie and can get away with 7.5D. I tried both the 7 and 7.5 service boot and preferred the 7.5.

I'm a 10E on the TruBalance last which is similar to the Barrie so this is helpful. Was this on the 2030 last? And what made you choose the 7.5 over the 7.0? Length or width issue? I have a Indy boot in 10.5D and the fit is okay though maybe a touch long.
