Viberg Boots - Page 1026

It doesn't take that long for the unstructured toe to collapse if you're wearing the Boondockers with some frequency. Then you will get a more natural look than if you try and manipulate things with your hands.

Here's mine at 16 months (a little while back now):

Just wear them and enjoy the ride.

P.S. If anyone is looking for a Boondocker on the 2045 last, Take 5 in Hong Kong are accepting pre-orders.

I finally got some 2030 Boondockers that fit from Rivet & Hide during their 15% off discount period.  My old leather soled ones were crushing my toes.  For some reason they were really tight even though they were the same size as all my other 2030s.

So you went up a half size for the boondockers?

Nope same size.  The 2030 has been good to me sometimes and bad other times.  I have one pair that fits well with a full insole, 2 that fit well with half insoles, and 1 that fits well with no insole.  My old boondockers were crushing my toes with no insole.  They just felt short.

The only thing that kept me from getting them was the unstructured toe. If we do a structured version of that boot, by all means, count me in.

Keep on telling yourself that?

In any case, if we were allowed to do it again, I might be persuaded that that boot would look good with a partially structured toe.

My Boondockers are on the 2045 last. The angle of the photo might make 'em look a little different.

Probably an aesthetic choice.  I don't know how many of you guys have met or spoken with Brett Viberg, but he has a very strong vision of how he wants specific products to look.  I don't know his exact title, but he is the de facto Creative Director for Viberg,

^ It appears as well that when the leather is lined, as with the Mocha Vintage, that Viberg tend to use flat welt.
