ah thanks! do you by any chance if there's a size difference between RW 8138 (moc toe) vs. Iron Rangers? I wear size 9 US in RW 8138s and it sounds like I'm probably a 8.5 in the Viberg 110 last but just want to make sure.
Thanks!
not sure but from what i hear, it sounds like the 8138 also runs a little large so it might be similar to the Iron Rangers.

Got mine today. Horsehide built on the 310 last. For reference I wear a 10 in Wolverine 1K and 11 in Jack Purcells. My foot measures out to be 11 inches exactly.

I got these in a size 10, probably could have squeezed into a 9, but a 9.5 would have been perfect. They fit great in the heel so I'll probably throw a felt liner in and go with it. These are too awesome to sell.

I compared these things to my 1Ks, viberg on the right foot and 1K on the left. I felt like I was wearing a tank on my right foot and, like a civic on the left. These things are crazy.

Cant wait for tomorrow.

yep these boots are serious ******* business. they weigh like 3 lbs each, and make all my other boots feel like toys. I walked the dog in them earlier and every time I put my foot down I heard a very pleasant, and solid, thump.

The fit is spot on with thin socks and very comfortable. I'll probably be able to wear thicker socks by winter once these stretch out a bit.
I've owned the scout boots in size 9 and the 4Horseman boots in 8.5, both of those sizes/lasts were a horrible fit for me.

I wear a Trubalance 8.5E(measured at an Alden store), White's SD 8.5E(a bit wider than the trubalance), Russell Moccasin 8.5D(perfect fit), Red Wing 9E(hate) and a New Balance 9D(perfection). I can wear thicker socks with all of these brands/sizes except the NB.

What defects have people found? Are most of you from Canada that received your boots already?

Which last is this? And can you elaborate on what you hated about your Red Wing size?

Thanks!

My boots had some minor defects in the leather. Nothing that you would notice unless you're closely inspecting the boot

I have no idea what the last is.

I just hate Red Wings. I've never had a comfortable pair.

Thanks for posting the fit pictures everyone! The boots all look great. You can definitely be looking at a serious break in period, but it's worth it. My first pair of service boots are about 4 years old and definitely my most comfortable non-sneakers. None of the the boots sent out have had any significant defects or anything. If there is is a cosmetic flaw it should be noted or visible in the photos. Structurally these "sample" boots are all 100%.

Round 2 of the sale is going up today at around noon (pacific) and will feature 20 styles. A wide variety of styles and sizes again. I'm really trying to keep the other thread clutter free so please post here if you have any questions. We've included more information this time around including the last, box toe vs. no box toe, and any glaring flaws. Hopefully this will cut down on the number of emails.
