I am not familiar with the ts(s) brand so I cannot comment but some of those pieces are wow. I guess Context needed balance and chose to play it safe with EG. Who knows.

Hey Ry'on, I like your EG buys, are you receiving the following pieces in the future? Thanks

I was just browsing Tres Bien and noticed that they have the EG x McNairy collaboration available.

I haven't seen the longwings in person, unfortunately, but I fear that the quality isn't any good. They look a bit plasticky.

^ Also had the same thoughts on the shoes. I've ordered a pair of the boots, so I will found out next week. I'll be happy if the leather is at least as good as Allen Edmonds type quality.

^^Thanks. We really just buy the pieces that we like and feel work nicely together in terms of fabrics and palette, easy right? We actually didn't order the sweats for the shop. The other 2 guys I work with order some for personals but we decided to keep our fleece coming just from McCoy's for now. The items we still have coming are Storm Parkas, 4 Pocket Cardigans, Flannel Work shirts, Desert Pants and a re-stock on some Painter pants. ^I think the leather on the shoes and boots doesn't feel like the nicest in the world, but I'm sure that with some wear it will break in and be just fine. I don't think Daiki would put his stamp on them (literally) if they weren't going to be solid.

Made my first and maybe only EG purchase of the season. Got the rugby from stuart and wright yesterday. Had I known their prices were higher than msrp I might have waited but I'll be fine. There aren't many more pieces I'm considering.

I might put the money toward a couple of wwm pieces however, as this seasons collection is amazing.

Then again, with the nepenthes store opening up I might go back on my word...I'll probably hang there once a week knowing me.

If I'm paying 200 bucks for a shirt the 160 for the rugby is reasonable I think. Fit is great, I got a size small which I can fit an oxford underneath. Basically what I was going for. My only gripe is that the shoulder seams sit past my shoulder although the shirt fit slim enough so that it doesn't matter.

I've been craving a rugby for sometime so I jumped at the opportunity. It might have been a bit impulsive considering the price but I haven't bought any eg all season long so I treated myself.

But yeah, they fit great. Overall I'm happy, but I'll be moreso once the temperature drops and I can start wearing them

Just came back from barneys, who also had the rugby. Only theirs was priced at 170 + tax so I guess I can't complain?

And I tried on the cycling jacket and am almost a fan, except for the lack of front pockets for your hands. Buttoned up with the hood and all the jacket looks great. Without, not so hot though.

And I forgot I'm waiting to try on the navy or brown cord ashfield, which I'm a big fan of.

You might want to take a look at ColumbiaKnit before buying a polo from EG. Good chance is that CK made it for them anyways.

I bought a WWM polo from Yoox, and it actually had the "ColumbiaKnit / Thunderbird" tag on the front of the polo. So I would say that it is likely that Daiki would use them again.

In between sizes on the flannel shirt... size L shoulders too small, chest perfect. Size XL shoulders good, chest too large. I'd buy XL and have it tailored but I don't want to lose the triple chainstitch seaming. To buy or not to buy...

I thought I recognized this photo! I was flipping through the first issue of Inventory and found it with your EG write up.
