They're nods to an audience which appreciates great films. These hints don't matter though, because the story's surprisingly poignant and mature for an animated film. Also: the movie is damn funny whether you're old enough to buy alcohol or not.

Whats the boobs to gore ratio? I must know so that I can quantify it on the scale of "best movie ever".

GT, are you saying best movie ever, in a family movie rating type of way?

Or best movie period?

well, to be frank I was half joking - but I went expecting "over the hedge" and got a movie I probrably enjoyed as much as gone with the wind. I'd say one of the 2-3 best family movies I ahve ever seen, one of the 20 best movies I ahve ever seen. but very good.

Loved it. Saw it in 3-D and it was worth the goofy glasses, for sure.

Great story. Probably third after Ratatouille and Wall*E. Maybe tied for second with Wall*E.

I didnt have any desire to see this when it previewed, but it was freakin awesome. That 5 minute vignette in the beginning was really well done, captured a lot of emotion in such a short time. So far my fave pixar film.

I saw it tonight and loved it. The short film at the beginning was awesome as well. When I saw the dogs flying the planes though, I was like what the hell?

It was indeed fantastic.

Maybe I should check out Ratatouille, the premise didn't interest me too much but knowing Pixar it should be great.
