When I asked why their ridiculously priced shirts had plastic buttons and not MOP, the saleswoman chuckled and said "what do you care? your dry cleaner is gonna destroy the buttons anyway...". I dropped the shirt and ran for the door
I read that NY Mag article earlier this week. I really have a profound contempt for Lord Willy. They sell people crap and make them believe that they're part of an exclusive club of top quality clothing. Their "bespoke" shirts are made in HK by a Jantzen-like tailor then sold in their Nolita shop for 10x that cost. When I asked why their ridiculously priced shirts had plastic buttons and not MOP, the saleswoman chuckled and said "what do you care? your dry cleaner is gonna destroy the buttons anyway...". I dropped the shirt and ran for the door
did she at least say it in a joking sort of way?
