the thivin seems to be changeable in the bottle. i bought some from a friend, who subsequently was so disappointed as compared to what he had the first time that he accused the winery of "extending" the harvest by bottling not-their-own production. two weeks later we tasted it together and it was fine. wine does funny things some times.
I've had a lot of that wine, and nearly always enjoyed it. I have to admit, though, that I am really not very picky about wine. Maybe the first sip, but then I am pretty much just enjoying myself, the food and the company. That goes for wines of all levels. Now that I think about it, I should probably make that disclaimer whenever I make a suggestion.
