I did read Marquez's short stories in Collected Stories during senior year of high school and liked them a lot. But I could never bring myself to pick up Cholera or Solitude despite owning both.

I am now on A Clash of Kings

I think I might take a break before starting the next two books and read something else (the last 2 pages of this thread look promising) so that I don't get so sucked into the song of ice and fire series that I hit the withdrawal wall when I finish.
