Mike, if you got all cut up and svelt and ****, with sub 10% bodyfat, you'd probably be like 100 lbs...

thoughts? (0)

and i like your modesty and honesty and being open with your sizing problems. being that way is the only way you can get some good help, as you've probably figured out..(edit; sorry ive never been able to help you myself)

Little dudes can look fine, just don't convince yourself the number on the scale tells the whole story.

No way I'd be 100lbs, lol. I got down to 120 last winter and was really ******* skinny. Wasn't maintainable though.

As far as getting supper svelt and a little more cut, I've thought about it a little and I'm definitely planning on it at some point. I've been trying to do some solid push ups/sit ups the past few weeks mostly just for fun. I'm also trying to eat less now that race season is over and I don't need to worry about fueling my workouts on the bike. I would start lifting, but I'm cycling across country this summer so I'll lose anything that I'm going to gain in the next 3 weeks. Next fall though when I get back to uni I think I'm going to start lifting a tad. If nothing else I'm going to bring my iron gym (0) to school so I can do push ups/sit ups/pull ups in the dorm. I'm not afraid to say that as a chubby little hobbit I am intimidated by the weight room.

I'm probably modest and open about my weight because I'm in way better shape then I was at the beginning of high school. I was probably about 140 but it was all chub and I wasn't in shape at all. I have fairly muscular legs right now so even though I'm not a ton lighter I'm definitely in better shape.

Being short is awesome for fitness related stuff. Losing a couple pounds of fat and gaining a couple pounds of muscle has big effects. I was eating fast food a lot summer 08 and got to a chubby 140, started eating right, got to a skinny 135, started lifting, got ripped at 145, got serious with my routine an diet and got "built" at 158. No need to bulk/cut like ppl putting on 30+ lbs of lbm.

I'm may just be a poor reader, or you're being coy (edit; which in the thinking about, would still make me a poor reader). I'm listening, but can you expand on that?

I totally forgot you biked, so you've got muscular legs. But I still remain with the opinion that if you got to pecks/6pack/cutup status with minimal, minimal body fat at 5'2" you'd be around 110lbs (or so..maybe 100 lbs was a little low). I'm 5'8" and 130, soaking wet. But you know your body better than me.. (n/h). If you want to get all svelt start posting in the health sub forum. Dudes get majorly heated in there and are incredibly opinionated and outspoken but it's pretty educational and fun. You may already post there, not sure..

If mikey goes down to 100 you are gonna look like a 12 year old girl. 200 and 9% body fat sounds better just ask jet

thanks for the advice slack, I really appreciate it. When I get serious about getting skinny next fall I'll be sure to check out the health forum. Do you have any muscles at all though? 5'8" and 130...damn.

Yeah, mayn... Plenty of lean muscle. I can bench my bodyweight 25 times for example. Muscle is light though hence 130lbs. My fat level is sub 10%. My workouts lately have just consisted of a little outdoor running and (a lot) of varied grip pull ups. Sorry to turn this into the health forum guys.
