I don't know why, but I loved that detail.

That's not exactly true though... It seems that the resolution of the fantastical elements of the plot will be the culmination of the series, but the "War of the Five Kings" is the meat of the story so far.

was... ok

seems like if you didn't read the books you missed out on a lot of the character development. having all the characters have british accents also makes this feel like rome lite.

Much of the filming was done in Northern Ireland and most of the actors and actresses are British, so I think the accents are normal.

One random detail that bugged me- the Maester's chain had giant links, so the thing hung to his waist. In the books, it was tight around his neck and obviously had much smaller links.

Just got done w/ episode two. Seems like they slowed the pacing down which I liked and they filled in a little more detail.

Looking forward to more.

Didn't notice this last week, but after you posted I looked for it, and yeah, it looks dumb.

I thought the first episode was interesting. I didn't feel immediately hooked nor did I care for any of the characters. The show now has my attention thanks to the 2nd episode. The midget is probably my favorite character and the little fighter girl.

I'll end up watching every episode, but I'm not enjoying the show.

Unrelated to the story but I got so pumped when the intro was playing on episode 2. Now I'm just too awake to sleep after this episode.

Felt like it was better than the first imo. The dire wolves were some of my favourite parts since I love dogs particularly huskies. I was sad to see one of them die (even if it didnt really die

I really liked episode 2.

Not quite so much to digest as episode 1, and I'm enjoying the character development.

Peter Dinklage must really be loving this show. It's got to be the best dramatic role ever written for a dwarf.

Can't wait until episode 3.

Did anyone else notice that the intro was slightly changed? It would be amazing if they would continue to do so when necessary, because it really helps if you haven't read the books.
