Be careful opening windows in the room. One strong breeze and that baby will topple.

At that point, if you are not trying to do some hidden TV/slick wall mount, what is the point?

things like good speakers (not to mention cable boxes, DVRs, dvd players, and the big boys--receivers) have to be thicker than that...so with any standardish setup, the thickness of an LCD is not the limiting factor.

looks fricking awesome though

I think it will eventually be wall mounted, depending on the room it will be in. With the wall mount you really limit yourself in terms of rearranging the room too much, which sucks. Honestly, most of it is just for cool factor, although I have to imagine that it would look really neat mounted because it's so thin. The remote has a bunch of equally cool and semi-useful features. The remote itself looks like a big iphone and it will sync through a wireless connection to the TV. You can hit a button and the remote will automatically display what's on the TV, so you could carry it into the bathroom and watch whatever the TV is displaying. Again, I don't know if I'd ever use it, but it's a gadget like all other gadgets.

Noooo-o-o-o, do not mount it . It is LCD and if mounted you will not be able to turn it so that you can be in a sweet spot.
LCD thin or thick suck though in picture quality and yes the shadow detail is non existent. I bought one this year and I should have looked for an old Pioneer plasma instead.

Um, you can get a fully articulated wall-mount. Just sayin' ...

I really, really like that Canon 50mm f/1.4. It's the first lens I got, and the only one I had...until today when his friend arrived:

Haven't broken a single Schott Zweisel of my own yet, and they've gone about a year or more. I am pretty impressed with them. I broke a Riedel or something in a bar recently and they were pretty displeased with me.

Nice. But if I remember right you have the EOS 5D and therefore a full frame camera, with my crop the 50mm behaves more like 80mm. When I give it back I'll most likely opt for the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 to replace it.

Any ideas on where to get a faucet like this at a decent price from a reputable manufacturer? How has this one held up for you?

I bought one of these on eBay for what I thought was a good price - I don't know who the manufacturer is, but I know it came from China. Anyway, it's been less than 3 years and I already have to replace it. The faucet doesn't close all the way and the tube to the hand sprayer is fraying and leaking as well.

I tried at faucetdirect.com and overstock. Any specific manufacturers I should be looking at?

Consider yourself lucky 3 years is a long time for a cheap item to last.

Maybe I should've described my price range as something other than "decent price." This Franke faucet goes for $900. I'm looking for something quite a bit less.

3 years is a long time for a shoddy piece of plumbing. Most of the plumbing fixtures in the house I moved into were from the 70's and 80's (the house was built in 1964). I was hoping to get something that would last a good 10 years at least.
