People outside of SF don't really care how you dress. Do it for yourself or don't do it at all.

Surprisingly, my appreciation for art and culture (especially modern art) became more sophisticated. SF played a part here by training me to notice tiny details as a general approach in life. I wasn't as anal before...

My Dad has no idea how to tie a tie.

if some starts a thread that has been addressed within the past 5 years hold it against them and riddicule them until they see the error of their ways. only then can they be accepted and given the secret handshake of SF (wink wink nudge nudge)

Everything I now know about dress shoes., including that I should own at least three pairs of dub monks (I currently have none).

- 2-inch cuffs

- Fit is the most important factor under most circumstances

- Thicker sole can elevate otherwise plain or boring shoes

- There are always exceptions

What have I learned in the last couple of months? - I f*cking hate my square-toed Julius Marlow shoes. - Colour co-ordinating my tie with my shirt is less stylish than I thought it was. - Cufflinks are more of a fashion statement than a stylistic choice. - Polyester is the fabric of Satan. - My shirts are too big for me. - My suits don't fit me as well as I thought. - I really need to start seeing a good tailor. - Despite my ill-fitting clothes, the awful department store shoes and my matching silk tie and cufflink sets, I still dress better than 90% of men where I live.
