1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Everything I now know about dress shoes., including that I should own at least three pairs of dub monks (I currently have none).

While patterns, peaked lapels, small or overly large lapels and other quirky elements add an interesting touch to menswear, most people will respond more favorably to darker solids and traditionally accepted cuts.

    but eff 'em anyway. [IMG]

    - 2-inch cuffs

    - Fit is the most important factor under most circumstances

    - Thicker sole can elevate otherwise plain or boring shoes

    - There are always exceptions

What have I learned in the last couple of months? - I f*cking hate my square-toed Julius Marlow shoes. - Colour co-ordinating my tie with my shirt is less stylish than I thought it was. - Cufflinks are more of a fashion statement than a stylistic choice. - Polyester is the fabric of Satan. - My shirts are too big for me. - My suits don't fit me as well as I thought. - I really need to start seeing a good tailor. - Despite my ill-fitting clothes, the awful department store shoes and my matching silk tie and cufflink sets, I still dress better than 90% of men where I live. Get a pair of shell cordovan shoes and a bowtie and you pretty much have SF wrapped up. Nothing more to see here.

I haven't learned a damn thing ... but I'm old and knew it all before I came here.

Perhaps I've taught someone something. I'm thinking ... how to write fiction.

I'll join you in this one ... although I'm not sure I learned that here. I typically have my next couple of suits ... and odd coats ... and pairs of trousers ... and pairs of shoes ... etc., etc., etc. ... and etc. ... on my mind.

You can never satisfy all sf´ers and it´s okay to be on the dark side with people liking your stuff in RL.

The only significant piece of information I picked up here is the existence of Vass.
