I'd rather sleep with Gail. I might be the only one, but I would.

Well - I'm sure there are a few people out there that would rather sleep with DALE

The Quickfire was insane. Tom had the advantage of knowing he'd have to prepare a fast dish, so it's not merely his talent and experience that the contestants were up against.

Just watched the episode. I thought the quickfire dishes looked decent. The dim sum dishes looked bad. That black chicken feet looked ******* horrible. And Gail was looking......robust

The cheftestants had at least 9 minutes to think of a fast dish in their heads and could have used Tom's ideas and techniques as inspiration (rather than just sit there amazed).

According to his blog, Tom found out about the challenge a couple of days before it was shot, and only got one walk through of the kitchen, whereas the contestants have been using it for days at that point and were likely pretty familiar with the offerings and where things are.

It does go both ways.

Yeah, I'd take Gail over every female this season, but honestly, who wouldn't?

Those bewbs are ripe for some motorboating.

Gail gives hints of sexual giddiness. Considering Padma married Salman Rushdie, I can't imagine it's important to her.

Fabio's "I'm Italian, why do you expect me to cook something other than gnocchi" is getting a bit tiresome. He's competing for Top Chef, not Top Italian Chef. And it's pretty disingenuous. He's a very adept and versatile cook...as can be seen from his previous season and how well he has fared at times on TCAS.

All indications are that despite points for the risk she took, Casey's dish was "inedible." I guess looking good just isn't a substitute for cooking good.

As for the quickfire, Colicchio's role was to set the pace and demonstrate the challenge. The chefs were NOT competing against him or his dish -- just the 8:37 on the clock. I think it served another purpose as well. It reminded everyone -- contestants and viewers alike that Colicchio is the real deal and a truly qualified judge for these challenges. (BTW, reports are the he broke a bottle of olive oil while doing the challenge, coating some of the utensils and creating a pretty funny scene during the taping. Interesting that it didn't make it onto the broadcast).
