Gah... bummer on the color. A big part of why I love these boots is how they fade. ****, I would have went with tan had I known. But I will definitely do that process as I plan on keeping these boots forever.

This is what my brown pair look like after being cleaned up and wiped down with boot oil. This is after about a year of serious abuse.

Cool, where did you get yours? I will be getting a pair as well, and since your in NYC, could you tell me where you got yours and if they had a good selection? I am still debating between the brown and rust.

I got em at Harry's Shoes on 83rd and Broadway. Nice shop. They have Allen Edmonds, Red Wings, Vintage Shoes and some other quality brands. Service is pretty good too; I def plan on going back.

Yeah those would be nice. Tan is by far my favorite color and those would age really well and the patina would be awesome.

I just noticed I have a pair of mud caked Montgomery's in the corner by the door. I guess I have 3 pairs of boots from this line. LOL. I really need to stay away from the order screen at the store. I'll end up being the only guy in the world with a weekly rotation of 1K boots if I'm not careful.

Bad for my wallet maybe but other than that it would be a good thing for sure. The Bradford in tan would look good in my collection as well. It would be even better if Wolverine would do them up in Whiskey Shell Cordovan.

Try Leffot's - it's on Christopher St in the West Village.

Thanks a lot for the DIY, Crane's! I'm going to do that to my RW GTs now that the snow has officially started falling here.

If only!

Also, you use sno-seal but don't stock it? For shame. Any idea where I can pick some up on the 'net in a more substancial quantity then a tiny tube (someone mentioned a Canadian stockist above but I'm not paying $12 to have a 3.5 ounce tube shipped to me one province over)?

the Montague chelsea boot in cigar shell cordovan or distressed tan suede would be the ultimate jeans boot

too bad you and Leather Soul can't convince Wolverine to make 'Ltd edition boots' like LeatherSoul has done with Alden

or....maybe you can if you work together and ask them?
