There was an episode about Holodeck addiction, actually. Barclay, the resident creepy weirdo and most commonly recurring extra on the ship, was the focus of the story. The episode basically predicted the World of Warcraft phenomenon a decade or more before it was even a glimmer in young nerdlings' eyes.

I'd love to travel the world before everything got so exploited and commercial. Go to SE Asia when it still was exotic and new and stuff like that.
