Actually, I think dress will depend on what industries your classmates went into (e.g. law, finance, gub-mint (in some cases)), as well as the time of the event: if it is right after work (i.e. around 6:30pm or so) and in a "nicer" place (e.g. Mayflower Hotel bar, etc.), I'm sure you'll find plenty of guys in ill-fitting suits/sport coats. If it is later in the evening, then you would expect far fewer jackets among the late-20s set.

Well, maybe if we had some insight into pre-collegiate mafoo, the advice given to him in this thread would be more focused.

This threak has become overtaken with ugly photos. Since I have already reached my quota by posting one tail pic today, I shall now turn to the next best thing. And by that I mean, the Audi R8 (aka "The Oak Street Special").

So I am standing at the Audi dealer Saturday looking at an S5... and a woman passes along, tells me I should buy it blah, blah... says she "loved" hers. I said "loved"? and she explains that she got it for Christmas but traded it in today for an R8 and is there to pick it up.

Ha! Let's be clear...R8 is king...but S5 = no slouch. I believe a man can love more than one car - just as a man can love more than one woman. If you likey dee S5, by all means, pull the trigger. Great coupe...

The S5 is a great car, as is the R8--but they are entirely different. The former is a GT and the latter a pure sports car. I hate it when people "upgrade" just because the model number bigger, not understanding what they're actually getting.

Someone who works for me drives an R8. It's only the 4.2, though, and doesn't save him from being a complete geek.

Please take comfort in that.

The R8 is a geeky sports car. The NSX of the 00's.
