Your soles still look like they are in good shape. I don't think you need it recrafted. You might want to get suken toe plates put in since your toes seems to be very worn.

I haven't tried this service (since I have toe plates put in when I order the shoes) so I have no personal experience with them. But they are highly recommended by SFers.

Price is very reasonable as well.

In general, can a nice pair of shiny cap toe oxfords be worn without a suit and just dress slacks and dress shirt? What are your thoughts?

Absolutely, pretty much any dress shoe can be worn with dress slacks and dress shirt. Suits should only be worn with dress shoes, the reverse is not necessarily true.

What (if anything) does this Polo Ralph Lauren label on a navy blazer tell you about it's maker, date of creation, etc.

I've seen some Polo labels with and without that yellow stitching around the edges. I realize this is an esoteric question for only the RL experts, so hopefully one is kind enough to stop by.

Recently scored a couple pair of Florsheim Imperial Longwings v cleats (finally in my size!). Wondering what the best way to preserve the soles would be? Would normally just hit the road in em, but can these soles be rebuilt if need be?

I'm looking for a pair of "driving oxfords" like the shoes pictured below:

I'd prefer something a little more traditional, maybe with a baroque cap. I'd get a pair in brown and black, don't wanna spend more than $300 for the 2 pairs. Any ideas?
