The first one for sure. I have it in a light cotton/cashmere blend (that's the 100% cashmere version, right?), and it's quite nice. Chai always uses super-soft fabrics, the fit is spot on, plus it drapes really well when it's unzipped. I am always getting compliments on it.

any opinions on sizing or the brand itself? thanks

Some of the outerwear from last F/W runs small. It could fit like a 40R. Or maybe a 42R. Just depends. I tried that jacket on, and I'm thinking it's TTS, but am not positive. Scottm would probably know for sure though since he works at Odin (I think), and they sold that jacket last season.

Edit: And as far as the brand goes, did you have any specific questions or just want to know more? Short summary of Richard Chai: Heavily inspired by Kurt Kobain, and considers him one of the best dressed people ever. He once said he tries to design his mens stuff as things he and his friends would actually wear and buy. A lot of his stuff comes in washed and really soft fabrics. He's big on clothes feeling broken in and worn, and also is big on plaids, and patterns. Most of his stuff is minimal, with subtle details in tailoring and construction. One of his biggest goals is to make his stuff very comfortable to wear, hence why a lot of stuff is relaxed, and drapey. Quality was about as good as gets when he first started his line using some insane fabrics and tailoring techniques, but dropped the price a good bit after lackluster sales (only for his mens line). Quality is still very good for the price imho though.

He graduated from Parson's in NYC. He was the main driving force in launching Marc by Marc Jacobs, and was the youngest person ever to head up all the companies at TSE. He's worked with Geoffrey Beene, Donna Karen, Marc Jacobs, and Alber Elbaz.

Oh, and his brother owns the clothing store Odin in NYC.

Need some suggestions on what looks good here. I've been waiting a while for S2A to come around, because I've been really curious about this designer. white leather suede high tops, germany army trainerish http://www.gilt.com/s/surface-to-air...le_id=35967812 black leather suede high tops, german army trainerish http://www.gilt.com/s/surface-to-air...le_id=35967812 Sneakers decent? If yes, black or white? edit: fiancee said jacket looks dumb. Agreed with her in the end. She likes the black sneakers though... thinks white will get dirty too fast. Do you think these are good baller sneak substitutes, or should I not bother?

yeah, you're right. I really would like a pair of saddle shoes, but probably wouldn't get enough wear to justify me buying them.

@s2a: I like the sneakers, white ones a little more. Not liking the jacket much because of that faded black colour.
