I'm more in with the nicelynice crowd, except I don't buy $100 tees, I buy $1 ones. I will spend $800 on sneakers if I have to though. I am currently trying to Phat Gudio myself out with a week's worth of clothes (minus the Lamborghini but including a nice dress watch and a couple-few pairs of shoes) for like $8K if I can, using some resources I have for myself. That is the area of my wardrobe that is most lacking at the moment.

For the record that is 2 pairs of Edward Green, and 5 pairs of John Lobb.

Is this an XJ8 or a Qporte?

Jeans: $300
Shoes: $200
T-shirts: $20

I still don't like to pay more for nice T-shirts, but I've become conditioned to spend a lot on jeans and shoes now.

That sneaker money needs to be relegated to a higher purpose

I haven't been a SF member for very long, so I'm still being "conditioned" I suppose. Mainly what SF has taught me is that buying quality clothing that fits properly is worth spending more than I had been conditioned to spend before. And that value does not equal price.

So here's my before SF/after SF conditioning report:

Jeans - $40 / $200
Dress shirts - $80 / $300
Shoes - $300 / $500
Sneakers - $50 / $50
Trousers - $50 / $250
Sportcoats - $200 / $800
Suits - n/a (don't own any, yet)
T shirts - $15 / $7 (learned of AA wholesale through SF!)
Outerwear - $80 / $400

It will be interesting to check back in with myself a year from now.

Your pre-conditioning range for shoes is interesting relative to your jean range.
