hello, I have a problem with my shoes. I find the outside part of the heel wears out much faster than the inside causing my shoes to look awkward after a while. how do I fix this? do I need orthotics or something?

That happens to all shoes due to how we walk. Use heel taps.

Looking down at your feet there is no "left side" or "right side." There is only the inside (medial) and the outside (lateral). the medial side is the same side as the big toe. The lateral side is the same side as the pinky. Now...having said that...which side of your heels are wearing down? Generalizing... If you are wearing down the medial side, you are pronating badly and probably should see a doctor about it. If you are wearing down the lateral side, you may need some correction or an orthotic. If you are wearing in the rear lateral corner you are pretty normal for an adult of European descent.

This is normal for humans. Use taps as suggested. If you are a gorilla you may have a problem with your stride. Try walking on your fists.
