Hi all,

First post. After reading the many comments about Jantzen I am wary of ordering a cotton shirt. But I haven't seen any remarks about the quality of the linen. That's what I'm after. Is it a less risky choice?

And ... in what ways could I style a linen shirt to make it less informal. I'm thinking dark navy. Is it crazy to go for double cuffs? And would a stiffer interlining give the collar more rectitude? With what collar style?

Excellent quality! Have had three (3) linen shirts tailored. Not light weight. Most are medium weight.

I asked to see the linen selections at the Jantzen store in Hong Kong. After a search, they located a few swatches at the bottom of a drawer and they were all pretty pathetic. There were only a few of them, and neither the colors nor the quality were acceptable to my eye. They had no patterns on offer at all.

Perhaps things have changed, but this was my experience. I personally would not order linen from Jantzen.
