The auction ended at 1am on a Saturday morning which is a recipe for disaster seen as though I got back home at 12.30 after going straight to the pub from work...

I know what you mean. I picked up the RL version of the Westminster at the mansion a few years ago. It felt like it was loaded with bricks even though it was empty.

Brooks also has Westminster with straps,it is huge but a lovely case. I used to have it, but never really used it as it was way too big to carry around. But SAB cases are great.

The following one is handmade too.

There are no seams.

Attachment 32615

It consists of one single piece of dense Italian full grain leather which has been folded.
Then there are 2 straps (shoulder strap and the flap in front).
The shoulder strap also keeps the folded piece together.
The leather is vegetably tanned and waterproof.

I do not know if we can call it a briefcase, though. It is a rather a shoulder bag for men.

^Wow; very unique! I like it. Could you possibly post that pic and give us info about the maker HERE:

I think it would be a nice addition there, thanks!

As for the above SAB, beautiful. I usually think SAB looks too business-like/traditional for my tastes, but that one above is just lovely.

Jello, I also like the way the case has aged. The vintage LV pieces look great IMO.

+1. Old school is actually good for bags. How heavy are walden bags, btw?

I actually considered walden bags but I decided the styling is not for me ... thats why I went with mw-traveler. Eagerly waiting this ...
