HOLY ****

So my school has a dump and run where people dump things at the end of the school year and are sold at the beginning of the next school year for charity.

I went today to buy a fan for a freshman I know and I thought I'd saunter by the men's clothing section just to see if there was anything valuable.

I found a navy Engineered Garments unlined duffel coat (chesterfield I think) in medium for $5!!!!! I was seriously contemplating buying one at retail at drinkwater, but holy crap!!! It's in need of a wash, but I am honestly very happy. I want to go back and donate some more money.

A Kiton Blue Blazer, seems to be a size too large for me. It is shown as a 58L, but fits like a 44-46, not really a L.
A Zegna, 1/4 lined travel blazer for $4.00 somehow still basted shut.
I am not sure if I will keep it or see if the thrifters want to trade for something cool?
Then I found a pair of brown Peal and CO BRAND NEW Monk straps, Totally unworn.
They were $5.00, not my size, but I had to pick them up.

Wow, it was a lucky day for sure! That's an awesome score considering I've only found one Kiton item (a suit) in my entire 8+ year thrifting stretch. A cashmere suit that fits perfectly no less! Amazing.....

Two nice finds this week, a beautiful paisley Charvet tie and a pair of AE Hamilton penny loafers in shell cordovan. Both in excellent condition. The shoes have developed an incredible patina that leans more towards whiskey or revello than the burgundy they are supposed to be.

After making my rounds this weekend and coming up completely empty handed I am beginning to believe that the cashmere Kiton scored by Antirabbit and the multiple Brioni-gasm that Nataku recently experienced has so depleted the cosmic supply of thrifting karma that there is none left for us mere mortals.

Found a couple interesting items today. Any help on them would be appreciated.

Brioni Roman Style for de Lisi odd jacket - looks vintage, heavy gray wool with red flecks, peak lapel, pick stitching - Brioni Roma buttons - this doesn't fit me, but I haven't seen a Brioni in my travels before so I thought i'd pick it up.. if it's junk I can return it.

Abital blue & gray wool pinstripe suit - I researched this a little - they were bought out in the 80's by Corneliani, but I don't know if they kept the Abital name going at all? - it has pick stitching, two buttons on the front, two on the sleeves.. fits me perfect.

I think its safe to say that no Brioni is junk. Some of their cuts have passed out of fashion, but their quality is still there so long as it isn't physically worn out. Judging the styling of this jacket would require a few more pictures, perhaps on a model or a hanger.

Warning: tons of images Decently big grab, I'll probably put them up for sale once I take detailed measurements (I'm learning!) Solidish gray Hugo Boss DB suit, one button missing. ~42R, but with long arms:

The reason that I said solidish was because there is a very faint gray downward pinstripe that I wouldn't really call a pinstripe because it is very difficult to notice unless one examines the suit *very* closely. It has a slight elongating effect. Donna Karan pinstripe suit:

Mainline Zegna black pants, sorry for bad photos on this one. I'll redo it later, if there's a request:

Santorelli super 120's black pants. I have to say that these are some of the lightest and softest feeling pants that I've ever touched:

Well today I walked into my local fav thrift...been going there for years...but I've just now re-established my love for quality clothing, not just vintage, so I have been wanting a nice DB to wear and had not had any luck. I saw this nice blue DB and it looked like it was my size (even though they never size jackets correctly.) I didn't even look at the name just tried it on. Fit great! Don't think I'll need to do any tailoring on it at all. Since I saw the tag said "Made in Italy", I looked at the maker and suprisingly it's a Belvest. Priced at $4.99, I think I got a deal!

Other recent finds include Cole Haan Spectators (Italian Hand Made), Cole Haan Derby (Made in England), and and lotsa vintage wear

I would consider finding a Belvest my biggest score to date. Good job. My shoe closet is full but I've always got my eyes open for a pair of spectators. I've never seen any yet while thrifting so you get today's

I found a DK Signature suit once. Made in Italy. Seemed very HQ, much better than the DKNY stuff you see everywhere these days.

I have a Belvest suit made for Davide Cenci that I paid about $15-$20 for. Navy blue nailhead. I think it's currently my favorite suit in my closet.
