i have flat feet and don't have too many problems. i wear Asics Gel Kayanos. when i first started, i went really slow. walking local hills, 1 miles, 2 miles, then 3 miles at anywhere from 15:00 to 20:00 min/mile pace. then i started working on speed and was able to get up to a 13:00 min/mile pace. that's when i started running and the transition wasn't too bad from walking to running. just take it easy and definitely watch for any pain especially when you're not running.

anyway, back OT, 6.67 today at about 8:13 pace.

Probably guilt from the fact that you ripped me off on the buying and selling forums by selling me women's shoes instead of mens, and that you continue to ignore me even after you already admitted this mistake yet refuse to respond to me.

If it's on the side of the upper femur right where the hip beging, just stretch it out, take an NSAID, and enjoy 2-3 days off from running. Don't run on it -- the inflammation will build up exponentially until it's painful to walk.

5 1/3 before coming in to work. Still fiendishly hot out there.

Got it. I hate taking time off of running! Especially now that I have run in the rain.....

i have very flat feet, but it never felt like it gave me any problems. I just avoid running shoes with really high, firm arches.

3 miles at around a 10 minute pace. I've only been running for a few weeks. What is a good pace to aim for? Trying to break through so I can get up to 5+ miles.
