Agree that it's beautiful, but Bernini is not to be brushed aside. The man could make marble look like flesh.

Bernini is considered to be the more skilled sculptor I think. Though I feel Michelangelo communicated emotion and violence almost exceedingly passionately, love his exaggeration, especially in this one:

I remember gazing at this for like 30 minutes at Villa Bourghese (or whatever its called) in Rome. Simply amazing.

Ha! There is that minor yet super creepy detail regarding the fact that the sculpture depicts somebody getting raped...

IMO the most accessible and best buys in art today is photography.

It is also a "dying" art, at least so far as gelatin silver printing and large format negatives are concerned.
