Time of day? Like, you put on something "sunny and energetic" in the morning, leave work early to shower at 4:00 pm, then change to more of an "evening dusk with hints of walnut" to fit the evening?
yes, fragrance should match clothing and season. Some fragrances however have a broader range of applications: Guerlain Vetiver is more versatile than Chanel Pour Monsieur, which is more versatile than Hermes Equipage, which is more versatile than Knize Ten. As you sample and try various scents, some will seem more relaxed (Bay Rum) and others more stuffy and formal (L'Instant). Take your time, though, and wear only what smells good to you.
I agree with this Thomas, but I think he's asking if there's a preppy scent to match his preppy dress...I don't know of this existing, do you? There isn't a crazy ninjagoth scent for people who wear Geller and Julius dude. Thomas is talking about formal and informal scents. That shouldn't be an issue for you, you're almost always doing the SW&D thing and when you're not I would venture to say it doesn't really matter because of your age and the settings you'd be in. When you get older, there are certain kinds of scents you would probably not want to wear at certain occasions but I think most of that stuff is kind of obvious. BTW wmmk, the one Jil scent I've smelled was really summery and light and hot, don't really get your example. Don't wear RL cologne with RL clothes, that's marsupialed. Unless you really like both I guess.
Haha, good post but there totally is an official goth ninja scent and it's CdG (#2 or something like that I believe?) Personally I wear Jo Malone Pomegrante Noir (thanks John) with my Julius.
