Giorgio for Men today - I feel like Fabio, but without the rippling pecs or mane of hair.

heh, on me it's not all THAT pungent. Seemed appropriate for April 1.

What I like about it is that it's unapologetic. It's like Yes, of course I'm wearing cologne. No I don't mean to smell clean

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a cologne for special occasion, nothing that's too musky or strong. But something that smells special when I wear it. Something clean, refreshing, but at the same time unforgetable and unmistakable. I'm sure my selection of colognes is laughable by the standards of the refined tastes in here. But I guess it's better than just wearing Axe body spray (I've never worn this). And as long as I like it and my girl likes it, I'm ok with that. I just ran out of a Lacoste cologne (don't know the model) and I now have a DKNY Red Delicious for Men as my day to day. I went to Neiman Marcus the other day and Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit De L'Homme, I thought it was very nice. Although to me this would be more of a night/special occasion scent. A mature scent to me...

A friend also gave me a sample of Chanel Allure Homme Sport I like it, although it seems more of a day to day staple scent that can be worn anywhere, to the beach, to dinner, special occasion. I thought it is nice.

I also smelled D&G Light blue and remembered liking it, quite powdery and light. More of a day scent for sure in my opinion.

Any recommendations are helpful...

^^ hmmm... generally speaking, clean and refreshing are not usually found with unforgettable and unmistakeable, but there are a few recs I can make:

Guerlain Vetiver (found at Sephora, or on-line for not too much lucre)
Dior Eau Sauvage
Platinum Egoiste (kind of overplayed, harsh opening, give it time)
Herrera for Men

Then there are a few more that are less clean but (IMHO) more memorable:
Chanel Pour Monsieur
Chanel Antaeus
Azzaro Pour Homme
Guerlain Jicky
