Things that you know are "inferior" but still prefer

I will cop to the toggle-back links as well. I don't own any double-backed links and I am not dexterous enough to put in my silk knots or my silver barbells by myself, so if my wife is not available to help or I am in a hurry, the toggle-backed links are the choice.

I prefer a ballpoint pen, because as a leftie, I've never been able to grip a fountain pen correctly to make it work.

And I did own a pair of Crocs (given to me as a contest prize) which were very comfortable, but I also found out that if you leave them outside in the Arizona summer sun, they shrink. So they have now gone to the Junior League Rummage Sale.

However, the biggest item I wear that I know is "inferior" but that I prefer is Kirkland brand 5-pocket jeans from Costco.

I've recently started wearing these almost exclusively. They are not cut like a dad jean, but are rather quite similar to the Levi's 501's that I wore in high school and college. They look good with everything from t-shirts to sport coats and at $12.99 per pair, the price can't be beat.

Sometimes I am lazy enough that I just flip them instead of washing...

+1 -- I have the ones with the furry insides, they are the perfect slippers

Heh.

I was thinking about this today driving in to work.

Currently wearing a J Crew shirt that was about $15, nice color, fits.

I am also wearing a sweater I got covering an event in 2007. It was free, it is thick, keeps me insulated and I haven't bothered to check what material it is made of. No joke.

And shoes from Bata.
