Coincidentally, I have those links (different university) and wish I could find something much higher quality. They are kinda junky.

Well that is another matter. The classic blazer buttons are made by Waterbury. For Mafoo's benefit, here is the Brown model.

I think they are fine for civilian use. It is only when you start getting them with colored enamel that they start to get to Rah! Rah! for me.

How about getting buttons made with your firm's logo on it?

Show those senior partners that you are really in it for the long haul.

This is a bit of a tangent, but... When wearing a navy blue blazer with brass like buttons, is the wearer obligated to also have a matching belt buckle and non-black shoes?

Personally, I don't think anything Waterbury makes is fine for civilian use.

To be specific, seal brown. And white.

It would also show them that I'm a douchebag.

On the other hand, if your comment was meant in the spirt of my comment -- since I don't like it, it should not be done -- then carry on.

That's a relief! I ordered flapped patch pockets on my latest blazer from Chan (Lesser 12-ounce flannel) that should be arriving in a couple of weeks. It's nice to have to approval of one of the forum culture's most eminent authorities, and besides, I don't want make Baby Jesus cry!

I would very much like to get blazer buttons enameled with the crest of Balliol College if I could, but to best of my knowledge, no such buttons are available. Anyway, I think this cool-weather blazer should leave me maxed out for blazers for awhile. I specified the H&S enameled buttons with the three fleurs de lys on a blue shield and the red chevron. (Excuse my failure to use proper heraldic terminology like "azure," "gules," etc., but I'd just make a hash of it!)

Sigh. Does this mean I have to give my avatar another name? Can he be both a robo-whore and a robo-douchebag at the same time? It seems perverse for whore and bag to be one and the same.
