Long time no post. X-post from the EG thread:

Here are some of my pickups this season, and 3 happen to be shawl collars.

Yeah green is one of my favorite colors when done right, my cam didn't capture that one properly either. Trying to sell that on sufu because I can only do green knits not Ts. Can't wait to see the apc on a non-crackhead.

Check my margiela from last august homeboy, less mossy in person depending on your monitor. This is one of 25 pieces ghulkan bit me on.

Yah that margiela is pretty awesome. I don't even bother buying long sleeved Ts anymore. I'd much rather wear a knit (in any color).

When is it coming? What else do you have your eye on?

I just can't say no to a good knit.

It should be here in 5-10 days. I'm getting a fellow SFer to proxy this MMM sweater for me from eluxury. After that, I'm not sure what I want next.

Nice, a man on a mission.

I've got a pretty cool one coming too in a week or so.

I'll hijack it for you then.

What kind of issues do you have that you think it's a child's head being stabbed??

Firstly, that image (head with knife) is a classic tattoo image that a lot of old school tattooists did back in the 40s. Nothing new to be seen here.

Second, it matches the OTHER HEAD BEING STABBED i have on my other forearm, so if this one bugs you the set would really drive you nuts.

I've been into tattooing for 20+ years, and have tattooed for 10+ years. I'm not sure how young/old you think I am but I'm def not a kid getting his kicks with reactionary images, so any lectures are better served for those who really don't know better.

And if you think I care that tattoos will be out of style like square toe shoes and skinny ties, then you're talking to the wrong guy because I've never been into tattoos because of them being "in style' and I can't wait til they are OUT of style again, because they werent "in" when I got into it the first time.

You just don't get it, and that's fine, but don't inflict your happiness on me.

He would but he's got that space reserved for a cassette playa logo wearing high-waters. ****, Jas, way to be.

I think it is the perspective. The knife seems very large compared to the head. Also it would be incredibly hard to put a knife through a skull like that on an adult but a baby the skull is softer. It does not help with the hair pattern and possibly the coloration. The look on the face reminds me a little of the Gerber Baby food jar. My first impression was some kind of pygmy or Cambodian but I can see the baby thing now.

The problem with art is you cannot control how it is interpreted and many people will get many different messages from the same images IMHO.

Was it a head or skull or both? I know they did skulls but would be interested if they did heads as well.

I am not sure if it would drive ME nuts. I would just be like "WOW! How original! I haven't seen a tattoo like that for at least a torso!"

It does not make ME unhappy. I like to see tattoos. Yours makes me wonder whether it will ever be taken differently than you meant it. And IMHO that is the point of good art. To provoke thought.

On a side note your dagger points toward the ground when your arm is relaxed at your side. Do people ever do it the opposite so that the dagger points toward the ground when they raise their arm or is the way you did it "standard"?
