). Great topic for a thread. Here are my opinions: 1) Taking manton's opinions as rules. He really does make it clear when he's stating his personal preferences, but nonetheless, they often get mistaken for "The Rules". 2) Neapolitan tailoring. Soft tailoring really doesn't flatter everyone. 3) English shoes. They're OK for business, but sometimes I just want shoes with a little more flair. 4) Business clothing in general. There's nothing wrong with dressing casually in the right situation (such as a date).

Four items:

Hand made versus machine made: Hand made does not automatically mean high-quality.

Narrow-cut pants (shirt, suit): Some of well-padded people either don't fit narrow cut clothing or it looks ridiculous on them.

Italian shoes: this opinion is not derived from wearing them. Its derived from my inability to find any other than for narrow feet, which I lack. Therefore, I believe Italian shoes to be overrated.

Acceptance of a Hierarchy of Dress Shoes: I've never understood how people perceive oxfords (the English usage) are significantly more formal than a derby.

How I dress on WAYWT is pretty much how i've been dressing for the past 10+ years, some dig it some don't. i dont give a **** either way

by ur logic, all golf coaches are playing as well as tiger wood and all movie critics could produce and direct better than spielberg. that, sir, is what i call marsupialed.

i do like that cbf attitude; its the key element of style. there are only few waywt posters that are, imo, stylish individuals, including u. lots of waywt pictures with average joes looking good tho.

being overrated on the forum doesn't mean you are not dressing well, just the swarming compliments u received from blinded forum followers are overrated. just like high school prom king/queen, its more of a popularity contest to be overrated on this forum. and you won a spot.
