I've never seen the Thomas Mason shirts go on sale. Is it just me, or do their shirts have fucked up collar sizes? The M has an extremely short and small collar.
they've gone on sale in the past. a few years ago I picked up 2 french cuff TMason shirts for under $50 ea iirc
I understand that most people are mentally overtaxed as it is, and only have so much time and energy to spend on clothes. If a person just wants to go to the mall, and spend an hour or two and a c-note to make themselves look a little more "fashionable", I really can't find fault with that. Reading about Japanese denim and ordering online from the few botique retailers in the US that carry them is time and energy that some people might think is better spent studying or honing marketable skills.
++This isn't about "style" as some cultivated, rarified sense. This is about ugly. Immediately apparent, slap-you-in-the face ugly.
i think they are slowly repositioning themselves as a more upscale brand..
I'm tall and skinny but I find their small tailored shirts fit me fine. But it probably depends on what type of fit you prefer. Even the tailored shirts are more traditional fitting than say BoO, but I don't like the short and super slim fits of brands like BoO so I find Jcrew's stuff work great for me.
