It is an old picture. I still wear them, but only when necessary.

speaking of changing minds about squares, there was some stuff in WAYWRN about how you used to think tv folds were lame and now you like them but don't like points. I'm not sure this thread is the right forum, but I'd be interested to know why you soured on points -- I know a couple guys who do the white linen points for business with generally sober suits and look pretty good in person.

They've been ubiquitous at J. Crew for at least the last two seasons...decidedly non-SF.

Well they're more readily available now than they were ten years ago when one had to hunt them down at a trad shop.

Yeah, but J. Crew is the preppy store. They've offered them off and on for years, as has Ralph. I've had no trouble buying them in the past, but it's only now that everyone here seems smitten with them. I'm just not sure how far the trend extends into the real world.

Grabbed this Sat morning off the BS Forum from Maxten (while the rest of you were still sleeping) for a song. It's darker than the picture and has the most amazing weight. Wore it yesterday and received compliments throughout the day. Pale blue shirt, light grey suit.

It's from Gian Decaro in Seattle; I'm goign to put in a call to them shortly to ask if they have any more.

Just got off the phone. At $65/each, they have sea foam green, pink, orange, purple, and a few that are red with alternating light blue and cream horizontal stripes. No one touch the orange...I'm having that picked up by a friend tomorrow.
