what I spend on clothing is a tiny percentage of my family income. If I got to the point where I couldn't afford something because of it, I'd be in trouble - but that means zero impulse purchases.

this is truth. it's important to look good, but anyone who ever puts themselves in a position like that over clothing need to reassess their priorities.

Hey, we came here to discuss an addiction, not priorities. You had the answer right the first time

I think I'm in control of my expenses. I don't think I'll be buying anything new for quite some time actually...I think I'm satisfied where I'm at. That is, as long as those new trousers I bought off Yoox fit correctly.

that's good...shopping, as with everything else is all about moderation. No purchases for me until the fall/winter season...i might buy another pair of Yohji pants since i really like their shape this season, but i'll wait til sales time because HK prices are much higher. If they don't have my size or style left, that's fine too...i don't really get hung up over missed opportunities in clothing purchases any more these days.

hey, I didn't mean to make any judgment calls - to each thier own. I can't afford an addition, and so I avoid it. but if you are going to have an addition, nice clothes is a good one.

I only spend from a clothing allowance. I allocate a small portion of paycheck to it.

I feel very financially responsible compared to you yahoos
