I am young and wear a tie as a sign of respect considering the meetings I attend involve the people paying my bills. The only difference will be that I will be wearing a tie when not at meetings. And yes, Windsor Smith shoes are all the rage... just look at the white loafers with black heels that don't deserve to be on the Gold Coast let alone in cities.
I work in a mid-tier law firm in Sydney.
I wasn't suggesting yours don't itch. and it certainly can be done.

You wouldn't happen to have any strong connections at St Andrews (USyd)?
I work in a mid-tier law firm in Sydney, and most of the lawyers (partner's included) don't wear ties in the office. I just keep a few ties in the office for when I go to meetings or court. Having said that I did wear a tie for about a month before I relaxed my attire.
Was up the top end of Bourke St this afternoon picking up some alterations from Katerina's and popped into American Tailors to see the sale. Had a great chat with the old sales assistance and tried on a pair of C&J's. He mentioned that they can do custom orders from the UK for customers and will quote prices in GBP (and charge in AUD based on a rate of 0.6).
Elvish, not all of us ended up at a mid-tier law firm!
Good to know. Did you buy anything?
That is good to hear! I work in property development so I'd rather not be hanging around lawyer's all day, no offense to anyone out there.
None taken. Likewise, I would prefer not to hang around property developers all day
