sellout

you are going to cause a disruption of the knit supply and demand curve throwing it out of equilibrium

and besides, you'll be back...they always come back when they need to be wrapped in alpaca womblike warmth

ps. I have 2x as many as you

Psh, and you would actually miss if 1/2 of them mysteriously disappeared? I doubt it.

Besides with the new cash flow I can buy more knits thus creating an endless cycle.

Just bought presents for everybody for christmas =P I couldn't afford to if I wanted lol.

You guys really think its that ugly? I personally like it, Idk if or how id wear it, but its pretty sweet.

And im not real great on the timelines of this stuff but I think McQueen died before that sweater was released on runway, before it was designed idk.

I don't see how it's justifiable (the sweater). It's not like it took much longer to make nor does the yarn look exceptional.

While I agree that it is expensive and I wouldn't buy it at that price. I don't think the price of many garments we buy is directly correlated to the labor + materials that go into them. That and I don't know if there is a special technique to do it, but I can't imagine knitting a skull pattern is easy lol.

Its like those Tom Ford jeans arguement. No they aren't directly worth $990 dollars, but people will buy them at that price

Regarding the pattern - you'd be surprised. Knitting is very systematic. I understand what you're saying about the price not being directly correlated, but we're talking 10 times the price of some of the stuff we like here. 5-600 dollars for a sweater is not crazy at all. You can buy excellent merino wool at a yarn shop for about 150 dollars and spend a good 15-20 hours knitting the sweater (that's on the medium weight side). If I were to buy a hand made sweater for this price (5-600), and if the yarn were to be superior, I wouldn't feel ripped off at all.
