I don't shave, personally. I have a reasonable amount of chest hair, and it's fairly dark, but washed out photo + MS Paint quality drop --> no vis, I guess. I'm not opposed to the idea, but I'd hate to have to deal with the upkeep. I can hardly be bothered to shave my face on the regular. Only female criticism I've received is when I let my mustache (the only facial hair that really makes its presence felt, which is awful) grow for too long and I look like an über-hipster/guy you wish would stop standing so close to you on the subway.

There was a Times article about "manscaping" (their term, not mine) last summer: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/09/fashion/09Skin.html

Beh, I'm in my late 20s and I still feel like I'm traversing that rocky passageway to adulthood (as evidenced by my inability go grow a beard that doesn't look laughable/childish/frankly kind of gross and creepy).

Same. Being asian, I probably won't be able to sport a full beard until I'm of a ripe old age. Will try to channel Yohji's look.

ay, a smooth runway don't even guarantee a smooth landing, there are mad protruding organs way up in there that can mae it less pleasurable during missionary. Somebody more classically famous should've advised on this , but i will do in lieu of that.

Just trim chest hair and pubes down so they're not long and curly. Girls don't mind that. Body shaving is a slippery slope, once you start, you then keep finding more things to shave. Girls don't wanna be with a guy who is smoother than they are. Shaved legs and armpits on a guy = creeper.
