I have a case + at least four bottles. All acquired for $7.92 per bottle. Best deal ever.

It's a Tuscan red, mostly Sang plus a little Cab and Merlot, that sells for around $12 on average. I managed to pick up two cases very cheap. Absolutely excellent value and a damned good wine. Drinks better than a lot of $30 offerings.

Yeah, but we're talking wine geek exam. *sigh*

I'm expecting to have to know the age and residual sugar for the four classifications of Rutherglen Muscat.

my guess is that if a residual sugar question is going to be asked, it'll be on Champs or the Germans. I know it for Champs, but only the ripeness stage for the Germans and not the residual sugar levels.

Wine Library has some that I've done and have been good in the past. GV does a video for them, too.

This is one of two bottles of a 2005 old vine Garnacha picked up this week from WTSO.

Nice nose but after that just average. Took most of an hour to open up but until then, mostly raspberry/strawberry briefly up front then quickly disappeared. Very light. Eventually it lingered more/better but only "pleasant enough". I'd say this bottle was about a year past it's prime already.

Only the Margaux is really wrong. But it will be very good. I have had lots of '86s (though not M) and I still have some Lynch Bages and some Gruaud Larose and a few others. They will keep for a long time. The M I am speculating would improve some more. I know from experience that Leoville Las Cases '86 is not fully mature and I have to assume that Margaux would be behind even that.
