Ordered these in January, but just got another notice on delayed shipping. Went from 2/8 to 2/19 to 6/16!

I hope this means high demand for the shoe, which is good for Alden I would think.

It's not for Styleforum members per se, it's just something that user VoxSartoria discovered, quite by accident.

You get an 85% discount if you enter the store with your wiener poking out through your fly.

It turns out the CEO of J. Crew is kind of a perv.

After 7 months in I am really enjoying these. I wear them 2-3 times a week to work. I took them as my only pair of shoes on a short trip last week that involved a night at the bar watching the Giants win the WS (wearing jeans), then the next day while giving a talk at a conference (wearing dressier pants), then missing a bus to the airport and taking the next bus with very little time to make my flight. I'm literally running through Denver airport, flying down the escalator, racing to the gate while I hear my name on the intercom for final boarding. Fun.

It is just a MTO line that J.Crew had done and stocks. You could go to any Alden store and have a MTO done the same way, but probably pay more and wait 9 months.

Thanks. I think I'll order 'em. I was maybe going to get a Cordovan pair but these look pretty darn good and are cheaper.
