Hmm should I pop some advil for inflammation too, or does that not help with shin splits?

Yes it helps. Naproxen is better.

5K this morning at around 32min. Had to slow down a number of times to keep the heart rate in check. It's getting slowly better and I notice it going down and I'm learning to control my breathing better. Before was too many shallow breaths.

About 0.4 miles today
Technically, it wasn't exactly "running" though.

I run everyday 5 miles in about 30 - 40min it depends if i want to run fast or not.
I don't know if someone mentionned it but wearing a good pair of tennis shoes can let you run easier and faster and i don't have anymore feet problems

Lunch time run, hilly 10KM - 43 mins. Getting close to needing tights and a jacket, rather than shorts and a t-shirt, autumn is approaching fast.

Not sure I understand this comment. Tennis shoes are specifically designed to withstand very high lateral foot forces, not something that is needed in running shoes. If you're now running injury free in tennis shoes then there was something very wrong with your old running shoes, rather than there being something very right with tennis shoes.

^I'm guessing he's using "tennis shoes" as a general term for sports shoes/sneakers.

Yesterday, 4.5m, first 5k <27 minutes, which is pretty good for me. I wish it were cooler out, though, we're still seeing 80s this week.
