Was thinking about picking up his book on Mother Teresa. Is it a good read? I hear Hitchens is pretty damning...
Hitchens' Mother Teresa book is okay but he doesn't have a lot to work with. He kind of slaps her around for associating with shady characters and promoting ignorance.
Yeager Hudson's The Philosophy of Religion is an outstanding review of the arguments for and against. It is my go-to reference book for this sort of thing. I have heard that John Hick's Philosophy of Religion is good but I've never had the chance to look at it.
Does this Hitchens guy generally just hate on people/concepts?
Yo I'm pretty set in my ways as it comes to atheism so to me the existence of God is not that interesting a topic. Should I read one of these (note I'm familiar with continental philosophy)?
Just picked up the Wind-up bird chronicle by Murakami and just finished Dance, Dance ,Dance by him, highly recommended.
