There's a place in phoenix I went to when I was on my internship, called deluxe. It was delicious... it was definitely a more fancy burger place. Very modern inside. A lot of chrome and blue neon lighting. It was pretty cool. A small little place with a bar on one side, tables running along the other side, and a long skinny table across the middle of the entire floor with the blue lighting running under the glass. Grain fed burgers are the ****. They serve regular french fries and sweet potato fries in little shopping carts too haha.

Gents,

When speaking of the burger, I prefer a nice steak tartare.

Cheers.

The Rossini from Fleur de Lys in Vegas (the so-called $100 burger) is not only the best burger I've ever eaten but also probably the best thing I've ever eaten, period.

No doubt. But at the price of being in Cambridge...

Seriously, I don't know the place, which makes me sad. To think I lived nearby for three years and missed a good burger... Or maybe I do know it, but I didn't know the name of the place. That kind of

^^^ I've been told that it's one of the utlimate Harvard hang outs, and also that the owner(s) are right wing, at least by Cambridge standards, and used to have the place filled with novelty anti-Clinton posters and parephernalia.

I was recruting out at Harvard several months ago and hit that place up. Mr. Bartle's had a pretty damn good burger. If I were out there, I'd go there again. Don't know if it would qualify as "best," but surely up there.

Is this thing literally $100? I think it's insane to spend that much on a burger, but at the same time, it's a burger, my favorite of all time, so i'm tempted to do it. God knows I've spent $100 on way more questionable things.

Best burger I had was at a place called Big Jim's in Charlottesville, VA. Not sure if it is still around.

It's kind of literally $100, so to speak--you get a three-course meal for $74, including an appetizer and a dessert. Several items on the menu, including the Rossini, carry a $25 surcharge. But it's easier to just say that you had a $100 hamburger.

There's the $184 Trilogy Burger in Thailand which is basically the same thing.

Dearest Roikins and similar chappies,

The mind boggles at why a good man such as yourself would entertain such an unholy act as bastardizing one of God's greatest creations. The hamburger stands, and it stands alone. To add such an ingredient as foie gras, which this humble gentleman surely loves, is to gild a lily that needs no gold. It travels to the realm of conspicuous consumption and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of those around you. Even the consumption of Boeuf Rossini is questionable in these times, but to eat a burger Rossini is sacrilege. The burger is a mans food providing sustinence and satisfaction. Do not be a pantywaist and try to gussy up this fine masterpiece.

I remain with burger and beer.

Yours.

Goodly Mac, I cannot help but concur wholeheartedly with your ruminations. One should enjoy a fine Hammburger Patty with a hunk of freshly baked bread, several slices of deftly carved Pig's Bacon, and a hearty slice of fine Cow's Cheese. It is to be lathered in Enriched Tomato Sauce (called "Ketchup" in some distant lands) and accompanied by a cold tankard of ale. Deepest regards, etc. Lord Conne, 7th Earl of Cheddarisbetter
