I think many know I generally love the Zegna lines and own many suits which have held up and looked well over the years. However, I have been very disappointed recently in a pair of cord fabric jeans I bought for $230 about three years ago. A nice soft cotton fabric and well styled imho but the durability has been embarrassingly bad for Zegna. Three years in with gentle care and a relatively small number of wearings, here is what I am left with:

**Tears near the major stitching.
**Totally faded color from a nice beige to a flat looking white.
**A full tear near the crotch area.
**Failing hardware in zipper.

Not expected on such a pricey pair of pants.

The softer the cord the more fragile ... I find Zegna holds up better than Lora Piana & Borelli but thats me ...
Mind you im not a great fan of the Z-line.

Depends on the item imho. In my experience, my Loro Piana sweaters hold up more than anything I have from Zegna but their shirts are terrific.

I have slightly less soft cords that were cheap from J. Crew that have held up much better.
